Note: John and Martha lived and farmed on the extensive land holdings in
Habersham, and when she died of flu and pneumonia on her birthday, John
who never fully recovered from the shock of her death, also died on 7th
of January 1928 after a third stroke.
One of the sons, Dennis Early Corn writes-
While we were not rich in worldly goods, my parents were in love with
each other, had a rich simple faith in God and lived a life that was a
good example to their children. They left a good name, and did all they
could to teach us to 'fly before we left the nest.
